NSN member Hilary Pitchlynn has a new column up at The Oklahoma Daily:

These days the reasons not to eat meat seem to outnumber the reasons to eat meat. Especially recently, meat in America is more uneconomical, non-ecological and unpredictable all the time. People seem to be misinformed. Most people think it’s impossible to receive the appropriate amounts of proteins and nutrients from a plant-based diet, but that is simply untrue.

A recent article from the New York Times Online, “Rethinking the Meat Guzzler,” by Mark Bittman, addressed the growing patterns in meat consumption world wide and implied continued growth is inadvisable. The United States and other countries need to stop eating meat, or at least reduce our consumption.
